Remission?

Updated: Feb 22

Is April fools day a month early?

I still have pain and I am walking with a cane today. But fuck it/ I feel amazing. I have energy and most of all, I have hope.

I was able to make the following post on social and my busy schedule resulted in the copy-paste below:

"Yesterday, My hematologist said that I am in remission. It feels amazing to know my PET, bone, and MRI results are clear of LCH.

It may not be curable, but if I can just skate through some time without symptoms and feel strong enough for my chemo or genetic treatments, my entire life could look different.

A HEAVY weight was lifted and I am extremely grateful to my family of angels who have been helping me from the other side.

To those who may not believe in God, afterlife, or purpose-

All I can say is —-you don’t have to tell anyone, attend church, or even proclaim it to your friends but there will come a time where you will feel too weak to walk a path alone. In those situations, you will feel supported or you may find comfort through your own coping mechanisms. In this, it will become impossible to ignore the magic. --You’ll never have to share it with anyone.

Science and faith are not mutually exclusive- they can dance together to build the best possible experience.

Today, I have another reason to be grateful and I hope everyone I know will feel this same relief one day.

For my closest friends, who may be motivated by the finer things in life- if you missed it- some feelings are actually better than travel, shopping, fine dining, and sex- 🥂Words can’t describe true love- yet the resiliency it creates is powerful."
